Brenton is a member of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. He represents clients in a variety of litigation matters. Brenton is frequently retained by victims of personal injuries in automobile and motorcycle accidents, slip/trip and fall incidents, defamation actions and other negligent or intentional acts cases. He also represents private parties, organizations, and businesses in disputes in the areas of contract, landlord/tenant, construction, real estate, administrative hearings, and a range of other business disputes. Brenton also handles insurance defense cases, minor settlements, and collection matters. In every case, Brenton strives to keep his clients well-informed while constantly seeking the best result whether it requires negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, or trial.
Brenton received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Loras College, and earned accolades as a member of the collegiate mock trial and mediation teams. He went on to receive his J.D., with distinction, from the University of Iowa. While attending law school, Brenton received honors in the Van Oosterhout Memorial Moot Court Competition and was a member of the University of Iowa National Moot Court Team. Brenton also competed in the Stephenson Trial Advocacy program and worked as a law clerk for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa.
